On Friday, September 21 2018, a pair of tornadoes hit Ottawa, Canada’s capital in its west end. Most of the tornadoes impact took place in the small community of Dunrobin. Authorities reported the human toll resulted in dozens of people with injuries, with no incidents of missing people or fatalities. The tornado was classified as a EF3, reaching windspeeds of 256 km/h. The tornadoes also hit parts of the neighboring Quebec, in its fourth largest city Gatineau.
