Josée Lusignan is the president and founder of I Love First Peoples, an organization bridging together Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities in Canada through reconciliation. I Love First Peoples is collecting friendship boxes for the holiday season. The boxes include gifts for Indigenous children including a letter of friendship. Josée spoke with 957 ELMNT FM about the friendship box campaign, what does and does not go in a friendship box and why Friendship letters make the box. Donations for the holiday campaign will be accepted at the Ottawa Native Women’s Association until December 15.
