Interview: Ron McLester – Algonquin College’s DARE District

95.7 ELMNT FM had the chance to take a tour of Algonquin College’s DARE District before it’s grand opening and official naming of Indigenous spaces. After, we spoke with Ron McLester, the college’s executive director of truth, reconciliation and indigenization. He told ELMNT FM about the consultation process he did with the Algonquin people and why indigenization on campuses is for every student.
