2018 Music Year-End Review

This year was nothing less than a blast for new music. From new and upcoming Indigenous talent, to your established favorite international artists, 2018 featured it all. Though our station’s October launch brought us a little late to the party, ELMNT FM was proud to take part in shedding light on some of this year’s musical gems and news.

Our Indigenous features included singles and album notice from artists such as nehiyawak, Carsen Gray, Nisto McLean, PJ Vegas, Kinnie Starr, Midnight Shine, Desiree DorionGenevieve Fisher and Don Amero.

Toronto native Tory Lanez was busy with the pen dropping two of his three albums within the same year. Although we still wait for Solange’s end of year project, she has assured us it will be worth the wait in an interview with the New York Times.

What was your favorite Feature Friday of the year? Let us know in the comment section below.

  1. I had the honor of singing the song by Indian City, Tree of Life, featuring Don Amero to close the Indspire Awards. Would love for you to add Seasons by Indian City to your rotation!🤞
