Family Guide to Ottawa March Break

March Break is fast approaching and Ottawa has no shortage of great camps and fun things to keep the kids busy.

Week-Long Programming & March Break Camps

One of our favourite spots in the city is Wabano Centre! Even more exciting is this week-long sleepover camp for kids aged 0-6 and parents running all week long. Enjoy nature walks, campfires, arts and crafts and cultural teachings, as well as high and low rope courses. Space is limited so make sure to register as soon as you can.

Do your kids love rock climbing? Altitude Gym offers a week-long March Break camp featuring climbing off all types, including bouldering, clip and climb and auto-belaying.

If your child loves sports, Geegees at University of Ottawa offers sport-specific and multi-sport camps to keep kids active and energized all week long.

Take advantage of the snowy capital weather with Camp Fortune and Mount Pakenham’s winter ski and snowboard camps.

Is your child an aspiring spy? The Cold War Museum is offering a week-long camp that teaches kids a wide variety of things, including the art of disguise, interrogation, spy and Cold War technologies. And the whole theme of the camp is capturing the bunker infiltrator, Agent X.

Day Programming & Day Trips

Spend a day tapping into your creativity at Artissimo, with artistic games and programming perfect for kids.

If your kids love agriculture and animals, we encourage you to make a day of exploring the Canadian Agriculture and Food Museum. Programming is offered through the day and  included with admission.

The Canadian Aviation and Space Museum is the place to be for space explorers and enthusiasts, with fun offerings such as the behind-the-scenes of aerospace and museum tours. Programming is offered through the day and included with admission.

The Museo Park offers a great day trip experience. Learn about the history of Vanier and enjoy Ottawa’s only urban-based Sugar Shack with changing menus all year round.

This is your one-stop shop for fun! With rock climbing, arcade games and amusement park rides like a roller-coaster and bumper cars, kids and adults are bound to have a great time.

Take a drive through Park Omega, which gives you a glimpse into the lives of wolves, deer, bison, arctic foxes, black bears and so much more! It’s located so close to Ottawa, we would highly recommend you pay it a visit!

Are you kids reptile lovers? They have got to check out Little Ray’s if so, featuring live and interactive reptile shows.

Care to be spooked? Register for a haunted walk with the family to hear some of the creepier histories of the City of Ottawa.

Do your little ones love a challenge? We’d highly recommend checking out Escape Manor locations across Ottawa and putting your family to the test. Will you get out before the clock strikes?
