There is absolutely nothing “Little” about April’s 2019 movie releases. Except for the title of the Will Packer comedy film starring Regina Hall, Marsai Martin and Issa Rae—that is.
We’ll need that humor to relieve some of the scare we’ll get from Stephen King’s new horror, Pet Sematary starring Jason Clarke and Amy Seimetz. Best of Enemies, another adapted story, features Sam Rockwell and a potential Oscar-worthy performance from Taraji P. Henson.
If audiences are lucky, they’ll get one super-hero movie per month. April is giving us triple the dosage of crime and evil-force fighting starting with DC’s Shazam starring Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, and Mark Strong. David Harbour and Milla Jovovich heat things up in the monster-filled Hellboy. And lastly but surely not least, what better way to end the month then with the finale of Marvel’s earth-shifting grand saga of Avengers: Endgame starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr. and Scarlett Johansson to name a few.
