Kayla Whiteduck, Midday Host
“My favourite spot would be Tavern on the Hill! Amazing views of Parliament and the Ottawa River , good vibes and great jazz music! Definitely a good spot if you’re looking to unwind after a good hard day’s work. You’ll see me there often on weekends. Oh, and they have live outdoor music several nights a week!Pro tip: Try your best to snag a couch when you can, when it gets cool in the evening you can cuddle up with a blanket by the fire! Great for a date night!”
Missy Knott, Afternoon Drive Host
“The ultimate spring time spot that I have got to experience here in Ottawa is the walk up window at the Dairy Queen right here at Merivale and Clyde. It reminds me one of back home that was torn down years ago, and it’s nice to be able to share a similar experience with my daughter Lyrik now that we live here in Ottawa.”
Matthew Bisson, Assistant Program Director & Afternoon News Journalist
“I have many favourite Ottawa spots, including: Hintonburg…all of it, LeBreton Flats, City Hall and the park next to it, Gatineau Park and Wakefield.”
Cody Coyote, Evening Host
“My favourite spring spot would have to be Hog’s Back Falls because of all of the trails they have there and the courtyard space where you can witness the sunset.”
Jill Kennedy, Early Riser Host
“My favourite spring spot is Dow’s Lake, with the Tulip Festival, lovely walking and cycling trails and those incredible Muskoka chairs to curl up in with a good book, lakeside!”
