Winterlude kicks off today and goes on until February 17th. You might be a bit overwhelmed with what to check out. Here are some of the key highlights!
Attractions:
Rideau Canal Skateway celebrates 50 years as a beloved skating trail in our city.
The Rideau Canal Skateway triathlon takes place on Saturday, February 1st at Dow’s Lake.
Sparks Street, the latest site for Winterlude, will include ice carving, live performances, interactive structures and more.
Lansdowne Park brings outdoor film screenings of Stories of the North brought to you by Asinabka Festival featuring artwork by Indigenous artists from the Assembly of Seven Generations.
WinterPride takes place between February 4th and 9th featuring several activities for youth and the family.
The Beavertails Ottawa Ice Dragon Boat Festival takes place on February 7th and 8th at Dows Lake.
Jacques Cartier Park becomes Snowflake Kingdom & features several outdoor activities for kids.
Getting Around:
There is shuttle service available between sites. The OLG Sno-Bus provided by OC Transpo & STO will run on weekends & family day during Winterlude.
