Carleton University employee tests positive for COVID-19

A staff member at Carleton University tested positive for the novel coronavirus, says the school’s President Benoit-Antoine Bacon.

“We have reached out to offer support, and would like to reassure everyone that our colleague is receiving appropriate medical attention and care,” read a statement published Tuesday morning.

President Bacon says the school’s Health and Counselling Services will be reaching out to anyone who had contact with the individual over the past two weeks.

Staff have been working from home since March 13, says Bacon.

The school is not identifying the individual to protect their privacy.
