OC Transpo general manager John Manconi says a driver has tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Manconi says the individual has been in isolation since March 20, when the operator first started displaying symptoms.
He says OC Transpo is working with Ottawa Public Health to notify anyone who may have come in contact with the operator. Ottawa Public Health identified the 48 hours before symptoms started showing as a key concern.
The operator drove five buses in two days
According to OC Transpo, the individual served multiple bus routes in five vehicles during that time.
