RBC Bluesfest 2020 has been cancelled

The Executive Director of RBC Bluesfest, Mark Monahan announced today that this year’s festival will be cancelled. The festival was set to take place July 9th to July 19th.

Over the years, Bluesfest has encountered several setbacks that the festival team have overcome, like a tornado and a stage collapse. Unfortunately according to Monahan, COVID-19 is not one they can weather through. He says it is with a heavy heart that this is cancelled.

If you purchased tickets to the 2020 festival, you will receive an email from Front Gate Tickets on May 1st outlining your options, which include:

  • Receiving a full refund
  • Keeping your ticket for 2021’s RBC Bluesfest

RBC Bluesfest organizers are keeping their staff employed as they prepare for next year’s festival, taking place from July 8th to 18th, 2021. The festival lineup includes performances from Billy Talent, Blink-182, Blue Rodeo, Boyz II Men, Dashboard Confessional, Jack Johnson, July Talk, King Crimson, Lil Tecca, Patrick Watson, Sharon Van Etten, The National and more.
