City Council approved changes to a by-law that means you might enjoy a physically distant summer on your favourite patio.
The changes to the Right of Way Patio by–law were made on the heels of council addressing the city’s economic recovery. Getting the public safely outside will likely lead any immediate efforts.
Under the new changes, the city will waive both daily rate for patios and tourist kiosks and the annual fee for café sitting permits. It will also allow for unlimited permits, while they’re available,
The decision comes in the midst of a heat wave and record-breaking temperatures.
