Update: The National Gallery of Canada Offering Free Admission on Re-Opening Weekend

Have you been missing the aimless wandering of museum exhibits?

The National Gallery of Canada will be opening on Saturday, July 18th for the first time since March on a reduced schedule. You can enjoy the gallery on Thursdays from 10AM-8PM and Fridays-Sundays from 10AM-5PM.

For their opening weekend of July 18th and July 19th, you can get in for free thanks to a generous donation from Black & McDonald Construction.

Things at the museum will look a little bit different though, with physical distancing measures in place. That means the museum will only let in a limited number of people at any given time. Hand sanitizer and masks will be available for people to access during their visit.

As well, food services including the Cafeteria, Second Cup and 7 Tapas Bar will be closed. For those looking to check out the boutique, only 15 people will be allowed in at a time.
