Ontario SPCA and Humane Society introducing limit contact adoptions

The Ontario SPCA and Humane Society are introducing limited contact adoptions.

“Potential adopters can expect the same thorough, thoughtful and compassionate adoption experience that the Ontario SPCA has always delivered,” says Daryl Vaillancourt, Chief, Humane Programs and Community Outreach for the SPCA and the Humane Society.

If you are looking for a new furry family member, you need to fill out a Meet Your Match survey. From there you’ll be able to make an appointment with your local SPCA. This will eventually lead to a virtual e-meet and greet. Adoption paper work can be filled out digitally.

The SPCA says there will be physically distancing measures in place for anyone picking up their new pet. Frontline workers have been giving future adoptees one-on-one time to prepare them for to be around people.

You can find animals available for adoption here.
