Bytowne Cinema Re-Opens This Friday

Grab some popcorn and soda and buckle up because downtown Ottawa’s Bytowne Cinema is back this Friday, July 24!

Between July 24 and 31st, you’ll be able to check out an incredible lineup of films including: Booksellers, Docteur, Parasite, Military Wives, Arab Blues and Whistlers. You can also catch Indigenous director Jeff Barnaby’s, Blood Quantum, a horror film that follows a zombie apocalypse outside of the Mi’kmaq reserve of Red Crow. Blood Quantum screens on July 31st and August 1st at the Bytowne. Check out the full schedule of films here.

New theatre rules:

Following Stage 3 guidelines, only 50 people are permitted in the theatre at one time. You will be required to wear a mask going in and out of the theatre and when you get up for snacks or washroom breaks. The theatre organizers say the seating will be safely physically distanced. To guarantee your spot, you’re encouraged to book your tickets in advance online here.
