The federal government is matching your donations to send aide to Beirut. This comes after a tragic chemical explosion rocked the city last week, leaving over 150 people dead and trails of damage behind.  

This matching fund makes up the overall 5-million-dollar contribution the federal government already promised. The government will match your donations of up to 2 million dollars to the following organizations: 

• World Vision Canada 
• Doctors of the World 

• CARE Canada 
• Humanity & Inclusion 
• Canadian Lutheran World Relief 
• Save the Children Canada 
• Oxfam Canada 

• Oxfam Quebec 
• Plan International Canada 
• Islamic Relief Canada 
• Action Against Hunger 
• Canadian Foodgrains Bank 

The matching program continues until it hits 2 million dollars or to August 24.
