If you’re looking for a social distancing activity for the weekend in the capital, you’ll be able to enjoy the largest fireworks display in the country on Saturday night from the comfort of home! Casino Lac-Leamy has partnered with the Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival to create a fifteen minute pyromusical display called Illumination. The show is free of charge.

For the best vantage points of the event, they’ve created zone maps for you. Three test fireworks will be launched before 9PM to give you time to get to the best viewing spot.

If you want to make the experience even more memorable for you (and your stomach), you can purchase a Festive Box, prepared by Olivia Bistro-Boutique which includes appetizers, a meal and cocktails. For every box purchased, a $5 donation will be made to Moisson Outaouais.
