Crystal Shawanda released the official music video for ‘Move Me’ from her latest album Church House Blues on October 21st. You can check out the video down below.

Singer-songwriter Crystal Shawanda grew up on the unseeded territory of the Wikwemikong First Nations Reserve on Manitoulin Island, ON. She grew up listening to country music and learning to sing and play guitar. But it was her older brother who introduced her to the blues and that’s where she fell in love with the likes of…

Later moving to Nashville, Shawanda made a name for herself in the country music scene with her debut album Dawn of a New Day in 2008 which reached the top 20 on the Billboard Country Album Chart. It proved to be the highest-selling album by an Indigenous artist in BDS history. She followed up with an independently-produced album, Just Like You in 2012 which won Best Aboriginal Album of the Year Award at the Junos.

Shawanda returned to her love of blues music with her 5th album, VooDoo Woman in 2017. In Church House Blues, Shawanda continues to develop that distinct blues sound and also experiments and incorporates 1950s rock and roll elements into her songs.
