Nobody expected to be living in isolation for months on end and yet here we are trying to figure out what tomorrow will look like during these unprecedented times. People have lost employment, many businesses have either been severely struggling or have had to close down and we’ve been confined to our own households which has been problematic at times too.
One thing I’ve found out is that not too many people are speaking about how this all is affecting their mental health and mental wellness. We get it, it can be hard to ask for help, especially when we’re so used to taking care of ourselves but know that the help is there!
These are some of the 24/7 resources we found which are available to you:
– Ottawa Crisis Line: 613-722-6914
– Distress Centre Ottawa: 613-238-3311
– Youth Services Bureau: 613-260-2360
– Kids Help Phone: 1-800-668-6868
There is also a 24/7 resource available for Indigenous folks specifically too which is the Hope For Wellness Line and can be reached by callingĀ 1-855-242-3310.
Hoping that this has been helpful for you and if you feel that we could add more to this please let us know by leaving us a comment!
