Update: This show has been postponed with the Stay-at-Home Order in effect. More details to come.
Noisemaker has partnered with the National Arts Centre for the virtual Raise Your Voice Concert Series! Raise Your Voice brings an online streamed concert every Thursday night straight to the comfort of your home. Check out the stylings of Indigenous and Canadian artists in hip hop, rock, folk and soul. The entire series will be hosted by none other than Maestro Fresh Wes, who will perform the first week, as well.
Check out each week’s performers:
- February 4 – Maestro Fresh Wes
- February 11 – Crown Lands
- February 18 – Logan Staats
- February 25 – Nuela Charles
Tickets for each show start at $12.50. You can also purchase a ticket for all four shows for $45. For $120, you can access all four shows and receive signed artist posters and set lists, too. Get your tickets here.
For each ticket sold, $1 will be donated to the Woodland Cultural Centre in Brantford, ON. The Woodland Cultural Centre used to be a residential school but has been turned into a museum. The museum aims to educate on the history of the racism and injustices faced by Indigenous people in the residential school system.
