The Ontario government is urging folks to stay home, but this time they are taking to social media to spread the word. They’ve launched a new social media campaign called #StayHomeON. The government enlisted the help of local Ontario celebrities, influencers and athletes, including the Toronto Raptors. To kick things off, comedian Rick Mercer posted a video on Twitter encouraging folks – particularly those between the ages of 18-29 – to take this advice. Check it out below:

The owner of the Senators, Eugene Melnyk, had a positive message for us, too:
Together, let’s all do our part to help our families, our friends and neighbours stay healthy. Stay home, stay safe — and let’s protect and support our front line workers. #StayHomeON

It’s not limited to influencers, though! Why are you staying home? We encourage you to use the hashtag #StayHomeON and share your reasons to social media.
