How’s it going? We’re about a quarter into February, and I cannot believe it! While we await announcements from the province about re-opening measures, I thought I’d drop you some ideas for what to get up to at home. Check out this week’s Stay Home Club!
[Listening]
I’ve been enjoying William Prince’s music lately! He turned 35 years old this week and he’s going to celebrate by performing his album, Reliever in honour of its one–year anniversary. Check it out Sunday at 11AM here.
[Reading]
I really enjoyed reading Mary Lawson’s, Crow Lake, which tells the story of a farming family as their whole world changed when an unforeseen accident took place. I nearly read it cover to cover! It diverts from past to present in a captivating way and left me wanting to soak up as much as I could from the characters.
[Watching]
After viewers were in an uproar because it got snubbed, I thought I’d check out This May Destroy You. And boy, was I late to the party! I’ve been totally sucked into Michaela Coel’s beloved television show. This show comes with a trigger warning as it deals with sexual assault in all its ugly forms. But it has a crucial message for our times and I would certainly recommend it. It’s on Crave.
[Spending Time]
Did you know you can play Jeopardy at home? Ubisoft created an at-home version of the popular trivia show. Instead of coming up with answers, you’re given three multiple choice options. It’s full of awesome categories and questions and it might just verge on relationship-ending territory. Kidding! But I am getting tired of my partner’s ability to buzz in faster than me! It’s available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
