Multiple sources say Ontario will be going full lockdown as of Saturday morning.
Premier Doug Ford is to make an announcement today, pulling the “emergency break” and placing the entire province in shutdown – or the Grey Zone – for 28 days as case counts continue to rise.
The move will happen on Saturday, at 12:01am.
Bars and restaurants must close – along with patios – but takeout will still be permitted.
Essential retailers will have to reduce capacity to 50% and other retailers will go down to 25% capacity.
Personal care businesses and fitness centres will close.
In Gatineau, schools and non-essential businesses are closing for ten days starting at 8:00pm tonight.
