Gorgeous weather and a Stay-at-Home Order make for an interesting combo. The National Capital Commission (NCC) recognizes this and is opening up more spaces for exercise this weekend, blocking off access for motor vehicles, as they have in the past.
The Queen Elizabeth Driveway will continue to be available to walk, run or exercise on between 9:00AM-5:00PM from Fifth Avenue to Somerset Street. For those in the west-end, you can use the Sir John A. Macdonald Parkway from 8:00AM – 4:00PM. Both westbound lanes will be closed from Booth Street to Carling Avenue this weekend. A third option is in the east end, with the Sir George-Étienne Cartier Parkway, which is open from 8:00PM-4:00PM between Aviation Parkway and St. Joseph Boulevard will be available this Saturday and Sunday.
The NCC will provide more details on how these exercise plans will look for the summer later this month.
