Have you ever visited St. Thomas, ON? It’s considered the third best community to live in across Canada, based on the annual ranking from Maclean’s. The top two spots belong to Halifax, NS, Charlottetown, PEI and Fredricton. Halifax and Charlottetown tied.
The ranking takes into consideration the following: affordability, population growth, taxes, crime, weather, health, amenities, community and internet access. Each town is ranked based on their three best features. St. Thomas’ best features are internet access, health and amenities. Two other Ontario towns made the top 10, as well. Belleville, ON ranks at number four and Cornwall, ON ranks at number eight. Ottawa sits in the 36th spot. According to the ranking, Ottawa’s three best features are internet access, amenities and health.
