City Hall to host Sacred Fire in honour of Indigenous children who attended residential school

Ottawa’s city hall is set to host a sacred fire next week to honour the Indigenous children who were sent to residential school and their families. The sacred fire will take place at City Hall’s Marion Dewar Plaza. It will begin June 28th at sunrise with Elders through until 1 in the afternoon.

Anyone attending is asked to respect the sacred fire protocols. UCN provides a list of protocols here.
