After the year of binge-watching, the 2021 Emmy nominees were announced Tuesday morning! Father-daughter duo and actors, Ron Cephas Jones and Jasmine Cephas Jones revealed the nominees. The Mandalorian and The Crown are leading in nominations with 24 each. Not too far behind are WandaVision with 23, The Handmaid’s Tale and Saturday Night Live with 21, Ted Lasso with 20, Lovecraft Country and The Queen’s Gambit with 18 and Mare of Easttown with 16.
The leading actor in a drama series is a category to watch with Sterling K. Brown (This Is Us), Jonathan Majors (Lovecraft Country), Josh O’Connor (The Crown), Regé-Jean Page, (Bridgerton), Billy Porter (Pose) and Matthew Rhys (Perry Mason) all up for a possible win. Nominated for leading actress are Uzo Aduba (In Treatment), Olivia Colman (The Crown), Emma Corrin (The Crown), Elisabeth Moss (The Handmaid’s Tale), Mj Rodriguez, (Pose) and Jurnee Smollett, (Lovecraft Country).
