Tim Hortons introduces new campaign to fundraise for residential school survivors

The discovery of the remains of hundreds of Indigenous children at the sites of former residential schools in 2021 has prompted a new fundraising initiative by Indigenous Tim Hortons owners. After discussing with several Indigenous leaders, the company decided to offer a new orange sprinkled donut for a limited time to raise funds for residential school survivors.

Between September 30th and October 6th, one hundred percent of every purchase of an orange sprinkled donut at restaurants across Canada will go toward the Orange Shirt Society and the Indian Residential School Survivors Society.
