While September 30 is a federal statutory holiday, Ontario (and most other provinces) has not designated today as a provincial holiday.
Most retail, shopping malls and grocery stores are open. The LCBO has modified its hours and will open at noon.

Most City of Ottawa Services are closed (you can still book and visit clinics for vaccinations) – but rec facilities will remain open. 3-1-1 is still available for emergencies.
All parking restrictions remain in place. No changes to garbage pick-up.
OC Transpo and Para Transpo will operate on a regular weekday schedule.
