What’s Open and Closed In Ottawa This Thanksgiving Monday

Thanksgiving is coming up, which means it’s time for another long weekend here in the Capital. Here’s a complete guide to what will be open and closed in Ottawa this Monday.

Grocery Stores

Most grocery stores will be closed with the exception of Metro in the Glebe and the Loblaws locations on Rideau and Isabella Streets with modified hours. All LCBO and Beer Store locations will be closed.

Retail

Stores in the ByWard Market and the Glebe have the option to stay open, so you’ll have to reach out to individual businesses if you’re planning on heading out that way. All of the city’s shopping malls will be closed with the exception of the Rideau Centre which will be open from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Health

Several COVID-19 testing centres will be open with modified hours, but most other Ottawa Public Health Services will be closed.

City Services

There will be no garbage pickup on Monday and all garbage, recycling and green bin collection will be delayed by one day for the week.

All City of Ottawa parking restrictions will remain in effect and there will be free underground parking at City Hall this weekend ending at 6 a.m. on Tuesday. OC Transpo will be running a Sunday schedule for the holiday Monday and the Rideau Centre location is the only OC Transpo Customer Service Centre that will be open.

Attractions

If you’re looking to get out of the house with the family, the Museum of Nature, the National Gallery of Canada, the Canada Science and Tech Museum, the Aviation and Space Museum, and the Agriculture and Food Museum will all be open.

From all of us at 95.7 Elmnt FM, stay safe and enjoy your long weekend.
