BTS Impresses at American Music Awards, Wins “Artist of the Year”

Last night, Cardi B hosted the 2021 American Music Awards, and if it proved anything, it was that BTS fever is still going strong. The K-Pop group walked away with a number of awards, including Favourite Pop Song for their single, “Butter”, Favourite Pop Duo or Group, and even beat out the likes of Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, and Olivia Rodrigo for Artist of the Year.

However, that’s not the only reason the group is the talk of social media today. They also got on stage for two performances. First, they joined Coldplay for the first ever live performance of their single, “My Universe”. Then, they later treated the audience to a performance of their hit single, “Butter”.

However, BTS wasn’t the only one taking home some serious hardware last night. Olivia Rodrigo took home New Artist of the Year, Doja Cat and SZA won Collaboration of the Year for “Kiss Me More”, and The Weeknd won for Favorite Male R&B Artist. It also just so happens that you can listen to all of these artists on 95.7 ELMNT FM!
