Feeling overwhelmed with all of the holiday events in the capital this year? There’s an easy way to keep costs down while keeping it festive! A sound and light show called “Christmas Lights Across Canada” returns to Parliament Hill this December. It’s a free fifteen-minute outdoor show, projected onto Centre Block, that plays every night from 5:30 PM to 11:00 PM. Check it out from December 8, 2021 – January 7, 2022.
Once you’ve seen the show, there’s no need to call it a night. Both downtown Ottawa and Gatineau‘s streets and landmarks will become host to over 300,000 twinkling lights. You can see them for yourself at several locations, including: Elgin Street, Rideau Canal Park, Confederation Park, Jacques-Cartier Park, the Supreme Court of Canada and Portage Park.
