OC Transpo riders will get some relief starting tomorrow.
The City of Ottawa is offering free, unlimited transit throughout the month of December in light of all of the issues with the LRT system.
This comes just a couple of days after peak service resumed on the Confederation Line, with 11 trains running and arriving at stations every five minutes.
For the month of December, all fare gates at OC Transpo stops and stations will remain open. Monthly passes for the month will not be on sale. For those who use a Presto card, all Presto readers will be covered on buses.
Para Transpo trips can be booked at no charge throughout the month.
Regular fares will return on January 1, 2022.
