Actress and icon Betty White has died at the age of 99, just weeks before her 100th birthday on January 17th.

Betty is believed to have passed due to natural causes just before 9:30 a.m. on December 31, 2021. We hadn’t seen much of Betty lately, as she stayed in the safety of her own home since the pandemic began.

Most known for her role as Rose in The Golden Girls, Betty White had a long and successful career starting as far back as 1939. She was an award winning actress and a household name.

Many fans and celebrities took to Twitter following the news of her passing to express their heartbreak and their thoughts about her passing right at the end of a very long 2021.
