Canadian Heritage announced Tuesday, January 11th that all in-person Winterlude activities are cancelled with public health and safety in mind. This includes the Snowflake Kingdom in Jacques-Cartier Park in Gatineau.

However, the second annual National Ice Carving Competition will continue on February 5th and 6th, 2022. Ice sculptures from talents across the country will be on display virtually throughout February and you can cast your vote for your favourite online from February 11th to 20th, 2022.

The 44th annual celebration, which highlights the beauty of Ottawa and Gatineau while showcasing local artistic talents and businesses, was scheduled for February 4th to 21st. Learn more about it here.
