The family of Vince Fontaine is raising money in order to give the late musician a burial and celebration of life. Earlier this week, it was announced that the Eagle & Hawk founder had passed away at the age of 62.
Steve Bell, Vince Fontaine‘s brother-in-law, created a GoFundMe page on behalf of the entire Fontaine family. A statement on the page reads that “Though rich in family and friends, achievements, and accolades, Vince’s work achieved only modest financial reward. We would like to invite the wider community to help Vince’s wife, Dorothy, and their three children, Aleah, Gabrielle and Joe, cover the costs associated with celebrations and burial.”
The page has already surpassed its $10,000 goal. Any additional funds will go towards helping Fontaine‘s immediate family transition to life without their husband and father.
The family will be hosting a celebration of life for Vince Fontaine on Sunday, January 16th at the Oodena Celebration Circle in Winnipeg, Manitoba. If you would like to contribute to the family’s GoFundMe page, please click here.
