With the downtown core almost back to normal, there is a long list of businesses and activities reopening this weekend to keep you and your family busy.
A 3.2km stretch of the Rideau Canal between Bank and the Hartwell Locks has reopened after being closed for a few days due to the milder temperatures. The Rink of Dreams at City Hall has also reopened. You can skate daily from 8 a.m. until 11 p.m.
The Ottawa Senators are hosting the Montreal Canadiens tomorrow at the Canadian Tire Centre, and there’s a few tickets left if you want to enjoy some in-person hockey action. Puck drop is at 7 p.m.
The city’s museums and galleries will be reopening this weekend after being closed due to COVID-19 restrictions and the occupation downtown. They will be operating with the following hours:
- Canadian Museum of Nature: Saturday & Sunday – 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Canadian War Museum: Saturday & Sunday – 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Canadian Museum of History: Saturday & Sunday – 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- National Gallery of Canada: Saturday & Sunday – 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The National Arts Centre will also be resuming in person events and dining this weekend.
