Ottawa businesses which took a hit during the more than three week occupation of downtown can now apply for cash to offset their losses.

Downtown businesses can apply for up to $15-thousand dollars to cover utilities, rent, wages and loss of inventory, among other things.

The federal government is offering up $20-million dollars for the program while the province has kicked in another $10-million.

To qualify, businesses must be located within the following zones, related to postal codes:
