The Multicultural Artists’ Coalition is getting ready to put on the ART + Summer Showcase next weekend at the Shenkman Arts Centre. The event will consist of a workshop for artists looking to market and monetize their craft, as well as a showcase for local multicultural talent.
The workshop portion of the event kicks off at 2pm, and features Fiona Khaemba, owner of Anaya Arts on e-marketing and monetization for artists. This will then be followed by Marie-Christine Feraud from the City of Ottawa’s Arts Culture sector discussing the programs the city offers that support equity and inclusion through the arts.
The arts showcase kicks off at 4pm, and will open with a performance by Tyendinaga Mohawk artist David Finkle.
The Multicultural Artists’ Coalition is a non-profit organization aiming to create opportunities for immigrant, refugee, Indigenous, Black, and POC artists. You can learn more about them and the work they do by clicking here.
