The Ottawa Blackjacks are hosting this year’s CEBL Championship Weekend, and you can expect plenty of fanfare leading up to the finals on Sunday.
The festivities kicked off last night with the 2022 CEBL Awards Show at Casino Lac Leamy, where Niagara River Lions guard Kahlil Ahmad took home both Most Valuable Player and Clutch Player of the Year awards.
Friday is the semifinal doubleheader. Game one kicks off at 4 pm with second seed Niagara River Lions taking on the third seed Scarborough Shooting Stars. Then, game two starts at 7 pm, wth the Ottawa Blackjacks facing off against the first seed Hamilton Honey Badgers. After the doubleheader, head over to Lansdowne Park for a free concert by Night Owl Sound featuring Baka Not Nice and Smiley.
Wake up early on Saturday to take part in CEBL Life, where you can watch a variety of free concerts and see some U12-18 3v3 Basketball at Lansdowne Park.
On Sunday, you can catch singer-songwriter Remenkimi at Landsdowne Park, where they will be performing a free concert. After that, stick around for the championship game at 4pm, where Juno Award winner Haviah Mighty is performing the halftime show.
Come show your support for the Ottawa Blackjacks and Pro Basketball here in Ottawa! Tickets are still available for both the semifinals and finals.
