It’s August in Ottawa, which means two things: a disgusting amount of humidity, and the return of Capital Pride. While pandemic restrictions forced the festival to move most of its events online last year, and all of its events online in 2020, the 2022 Capital Pride festival will be a completely in-person event when it kicks off on Sunday.

However, while Capital Pride is just about ready to kick off, festival organizers are still looking for volunteers for the August 26th to August 28th weekend, when the Capital Pride Parade is set to take place. These calls for volunteers come after the Montreal Pride Parade was canceled hours before it was supposed to kick off due to a lack of volunteers for the event.
