Meet Bilbo!

Let’s start the week off on the right paw with another installment of 95.7 Elmnt fm and the Feline Café‘s Cat of the Week! This week, set off on an unexpected journey and meet Bilbo!

Bilbo didn’t have the easiest start in life. After seven years on the street, he was a skittish, frightened feline and was also diagnosed with FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus). His untreated FIV also led to tooth problems, causing this little guy to be in a world of pain.

After coming under our guardianship, Bilbo was able to get the medical care and love he very much deserved. The Feline Café Foundation community came together to donate towards his dental surgery and Bilbo has been given a new lease on life. His foster has seen him do a full 180 and he is practically a kitten again. He is our little survivor.

He is still a bit shy and will take time warming up to new humans. But once he does, he will give you all the love in the world. He looooooves attention and will give his humans little headbutts to get a head scratch.

Bilbo’s adoption applications are currently open, but he has not found his forever home yet. FIV+ felines are notoriously hard to adopt due to misinformation about the disease. Properly managed, Bilbo will live a relatively regular life as any other feline. However, because Bilbo is FIV+, he will need to be in a single cat home or with another FIV+ cat. Bilbo has had quite a journey and deserves to have his forever home to live out his golden years in.
