Today is International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples. Today, and every other day, all of us at 95.7 Elmnt fm support and champion Indigenous Peoples all over the world, and invite you to do the same.

This year’s theme is Indigenous Youth as Agents of Change for Self-determination. As we look towards the many challenges we will have to face in the future, it is important that we provide Indigenous youth with the tools and confidence to face those challenges head on, and make a positive impact on their communities, as well as the planet at large. For Indigenous youth in so-called Canada, some of these challenges will include climate change, Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls, supporting residential school survivors, making sure that everybody has the right to clean water, and more.
