UPDATE: Tickets for Taste of Nature at the Museum of Nature are now SOLD OUT
Mādahòkì Farm is taking part in this year’s Winterlude festivities with Minopogwad. Minopogwad (which means “good taste” in Anishinaabemowin) is a series of culinary events that will be taking place throughout the duration of Winterlude.
Taste of Nature is a six-course Indigenous dining experience taking place on February 6th, 2025 at the Museum of Nature. This immersive experience features dishes from chefs Billy Alexander, Trudy Metcalfe-Coe, and Joseph Shawana, who will showcase dishes made with foraged ingredients while sharing the cultural significance of each dish.
Chef Billy Alexander will also be representing Mādahòkì Farm with a chef station at Snowball: A Cool Winter’s Eve on February 12th, 2025 at the Ottawa Art Gallery. Attendees will get to enjoy Indigenous comfort food while raising money for The Snowsuit Fund. Tickets for Snowball: A Cool Winter’s Eve are available by clicking here.
The sold out Nature Nocturne – Après Ski takes place on February 14th, 2025 at the Museum of Nature, and will feature a spread of Indigenous cuisine alongside an evening full of learning, dancing, music, and more.
If you can’t make any of these events, don’t worry! Mādahòkì Farm will be presenting a variety of additional Indigenous programming all throughout Winterlude.
