Michael Greyeyes takes a “new direction” in Rutherford Falls

David Moses caught up with Canadian indigenous film actor Michael Greyeyes who is staring in the new Rutherford Falls series, premiering “Today” Thursday, April 29 on Showcase.

The comedy is about two lifelong best friends, Nathan Rutherford (Ed Helms) and Reagan Wells (Jana Schmieding), who find themselves at a crossroads – when their sleepy town gets an unexpected wake-up call.

The series highlights Indigenous representation in comedy television, both in front of and behind the camera, with Jana Schmieding (Cheyenne River Lakota Sioux) and Michael Greyeyes (Muskeg Lake Cree Nation) starring in the series, along with five Indigenous writers staffed.
